Former President Trump has just released a video statement sharing his position on abortion leading up to the presidential election.
In short, Trump says it is all about states’ rights and the will of the people in those states.

I appreciate from a political perspective why Trump would take this position ahead of November, but I’m left wondering why he would have criticized states that passed the pro-life heartbeat law earlier this year if he believes it’s the up to the people in each state to determine their own abortion laws. It doesn’t make a lot of sense and could lead people to question if he’s really sincere or if he’s just trying to win the general election. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
