BREAKING: Trump says he has the “almost five hundred million in cash” but here’s the problem…

Former President Trump announced this morning on Truth Social that he has the “almost five hundred million” in cash. But the problem is, as Trump spelled out, that he’d planned on using most of that for his campaign.

Trump argues that taking away his campaign money is the entire point of the judgement from Engoron and James.

Below is his full post from Truth Social. It was all caps but I’ve converted it back to mixed case for your reading pleasure:

Through hard work, talent, and luck, I currently have almost five hundred million dollars in cash, a substantial amount of which I intended to use in my campaign for president. The often overturned political hack judge on the rigged and corrupt A.G. Case, where I have done nothing wrong, knew this, wanted to take it away from me, and that’s where and why he came up with the shocking number which, coupled with his crazy interest demand, is approximately $454,000,000. I did nothing wrong except win an election in 2016 that I wasn’t expected to win, did even better in 2020, and now lead, by a lot, in 2024.This is communism in America!

Trump shouldn’t have to pay anything just to get this case appealed. But a fine this large that could prevent an appeal of the insane judgement, as Shannon Bream suggested this morning, is a violation of the very bedrock of our justice system: Due Process.

I hope Trump can get someone’s attention to stop this from happening by Monday, before James begins the seizure of his property. But even if that happens, you can believe Trump will be suing to stop it.
