Well here we go. Trump says he will sign an executive order to give “dreamers” a road to citizenship.

This shouldn’t be too surprising to anyone. He has actually gone back and forth on this issue quite a few times. According to some estimates, this might apply to 800,000 people on the lower end, and many many more depending on how they implement it.
I guess the good part of this is that it will finally put the issue to bed so that Democrats can’t beat Republicans over the head with it constantly. But, for those of us who are against citizenship for any illegal aliens, including those who were brought here as children, you have to wonder when it will stop….
UPDATE!
OK, so this is very confusing but what Trump said is not what he meant.
Spoke to administration sources: The EO does not include a path to immigration for DACA recipients… because it's entirely illegal. The Trump Administration is still working on rescinding DACA.
This EO is going to be all merit based immigration prioritizing based on skill https://t.co/AL4O7hKLpf

Some people are very upset at how this is being reported because headlines are literally quoting what Trump said, and I don’t know what to do about that.
He says a lot of things, I'm telling you he can not add a path to citizenship in an EO. If it were even remotely legal, Obama would have done it.
He also said, "we're gonna put it in" then "take it out" and you're gonna be happy with it. EO comes out next week, you'll see.

So there you go, y’all make sense out of that.
UPDATE!! The White House released a statement to explain what Trump actually meant:
WH puts out this statement: “As the President announced today, he is working on an executive order to establish a merit-based immigration system to further protect U.S. workers.” This is not what the president said, and unclear he has the authority.

Hmmm.
