According to a new report Trump is preparing to release not only the transcript of his Ukrainian phone call, but also ‘whistleblower’ complaint as well as the IG report along with it:
POLITICO – The White House is preparing to release to Congress by the end of the week both the whistleblower complaint and the Inspector General report that are at the center of House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, according to a senior administration official, reversing its position after withholding the documents from lawmakers.
The administration official stressed the decision and timing could change over the next few days, but as of Tuesday evening the White House was planning to hand over the documents to lawmakers on Capitol Hill. The president has agreed to this move, the official added.
A White House spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.
I expect they are releasing the “whistleblower” complaint and the IG report in order to show people, against the actual transcript, how off base it is. And the fact that the “whistleblower” isn’t really a whistleblower.
Tomorrow Trump is supposed to be meeting with the Ukrainian president and they will hold a joint press conference. I’m sure it will be epic.
Trump also announced that he’s gotten the permission of the Ukrainian president to release the transcript:
