President Trump is planning to sign an executive order tomorrow aimed at social media companies, per media reports from Kayleigh McEnany on AF a few minutes ago:
On the flight back from Florida, WH press secretary told reporters on Air Force One Trump plans to sign an executive order aimed at social media companies. WH says the exec order will be signed Thursday.

.@realDonaldTrump will sign an executive order shortly about social media and internet companies, @PressSec tells reporters on Air Force One. The president has been very critical of @Twitter in the last 24 hours.

McEnany didn’t explain what this could be, so that’s all we know at this point. But I can’t imagine what exactly Trump would sign that would do very much against a private company like Twitter. I believe it would take the force of Congress to take away their protected status.
Also this is obviously about Twitter ‘fact checking’ Trump yesterday. Trump said this morning that Twitter was now interfering in the 2020 election, so it may have something to do with that. I guess we’ll have to wait and see…
