President Trump just tripled down on demanding that Republicans in the Senate end teh filibuster in order to get the SAVE America Act passed into law.
Here’s what he said:
Not passing the SAVE AMERICA ACT will lead to the the worst results for a political party in the HISTORY of the United States Senate. An Unrecoverable Death Wish!!! Likewise, the FILIBUSTER – TERMINATE IT NOW!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP
I said many weeks ago that the SAVE America Act is dead because Thune won’t do anything to get it passed. He won’t even allow a ‘talking filibuster’ because he’s too afraid the Senate will be derailed from doing normal business.
President Trump can write these posts all he wants, but it isn’t going to help unless he convinces Thune to proceed, which doesn’t look likely.
