It’s being reported today that Trump is refusing to attend the Family Leadership Conference this Friday with Tucker Carlson.
The news came from Iowan Bob Vander Plaats:

It isn’t surprising that Trump would refuse to come to this summit. Reports are that he doesn’t want to attend to the first debate and is planning a counter event. So why would he bother coming to something like this?
It seems to me that Trump simply doesn’t want to be seen competing for votes with the ‘riff raff’, the other candidates because he’s so far ahead. Will it hurt him in Iowa? Maybe, especially after attacking Governor Reynolds yesterday. But then he didn’t win it in 2016 so perhaps he doesn’t consider it essential.
