MANHUNT: Two Deputies SHOT in AMBUSH attack in Compton last night still in CRITICAL condition, Search for shooter continues

UPDATED: The two police officers remain in critical condition. Both deputies were fairly new, having only been sworn in about a year ago. The female officer, who was not named in most reports, is a wife and the mother of a six-year-old. The manhunt for the suspect continues, but no description has yet been released. Here’s a KTLA report from this morning. Below that, please find the Sheriff’s Department press briefing, and then our original post. There were also anti-police protesters at the hospital. We have more on that here at The Right Scoop shortly.

Here is the Sheriff speaking with the press last night.

Original Post:
This is breaking news. A short time ago, two Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputies were ambushed in Compton at the Blue Line station. Reports say they were each shot in the head among the multiple hits. The LASD tweeted that one of the officers is male, one is female and both are in critical condition.

The officers were seated in their vehicle and attacked ambush-style, shot repeatedly and left for dead.

The area is in lock-down as police are currently still searching for the criminals who perpetrated this attack.

Here’s a local news report from the last hour.

ABC reports that the location of the shooting is “a short distance from the Compton sheriff’s station.” It is hard to imagine this anything but the latest attack in the war on cops.

These two deputies are fighting for their lives, tonight. Say a prayer for them.

Added at Midnight: This is an absolutely shocking and wanton act. Warning, this video may be hard to watch.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
