BREAKING: US military carries out new strike on Houthis in Yemen

It’s being reported by Reuters that the US military has just carried out a new strike on the Houthis in Yemen, destroying their anti-ship ballistic missiles that they use to attack ships in the Red Sea.

Here’s the news:

The U.S. military on Tuesday carried out a new strike in Yemen targeting anti-ship ballistic missiles in a Houthi-controlled part of the country, two U.S. officials told Reuters, the latest military action against Iran-backed group over its targeting of Red Sea shipping.

The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the strike targeted four anti-ship missiles.

The strike has not been previously reported.

These strikes don’t seem to be dissuading the Houthis from carrying out these attacks, as they just hit another ship in the Red Sea with a ballistic missile:

A Malta-flagged, Greek-owned bulk carrier was targeted and hit by a missile while northbound in the Red Sea 76 nautical miles northwest of the Yemeni port of Saleef, a security firm and two Greek shipping ministry sources said on Tuesday.

The vessel, the Zografia, was sailing from Vietnam to Israel with 24 crew on board and was empty of cargo when attacked, one of the Greek sources said. “There were no injuries, only material damage,” the source added. It was still sailing but would probably reroute for safety checks.

It sounds like the US isn’t trying to kill any of these terrorists out of fear from Iran, but rather just blow up some of their stuff. If that’s the case these attacks will absolutely continue.
