CNN’s Dana Bash asked Border Czar Tom Homan this morning about comments made by AOC, in which she defended her actions to protect illegals and suggested in a statement that Homan is ‘vaguely familiar’ with immigration law:
Homan responded like a boss, quickly pointing out that he’s forgotten more about immigration law over his career that spans since 1984 than she’ll ever know.
He even told Bash that he had to remind AOC a couple of years ago that someone entering the country illegally was actually a crime.
Watch below:
Homan defended asking the Attorney General if AOC is impeding law enforcement with her webinars telling illegals not to answer their doors, saying he’s just trying to ensure ICE agents know exactly what they can and can’t do.
Homan also told Bash that while he’s not happy with the numbers, ICE is doing a great job and explained why the numbers are being hampered by sanctuary cities:
Border Czar Tom Homan: The arrests conducted by ICE in the interior of the United States is 2.5 times higher than they were a year ago under the Biden admin… ICE is doing a great job… What we’re talking about now is increasing the number of teams, increasing the targeting… pic.twitter.com/9wroeYOBiP
