When has Joe Biden ever made a seemingly impromptu call into a Democrat cable news channel like MSNBC to talk about anything? I can’t remember any time recently, for sure.
But this morning he did just that to try and calm down the calls for his ouster in this presidential race.
I don’t now how he thought it was going to go but I don’t think it went well at all.
Biden told Joe and Mika that it drives him nuts for people to keep talking about his mental decline:
MSDNC: "Have you been tested for any age-related illnesses … that might explain having a night like that where you couldn't finish sentences!?"

Don’t even know what this was supposed to be. A joke of some kind? Just gibberish – and don’t miss Mika pretending to get it:
When Biden was just trying to get out a statement on his defense of his candidacy, he appeared to be reading from a teleprompter because he referred to himself in the third person:

Some of his answers were bizarre and didn’t really answer the question, like this one about how he can assure voters that his debate in September will be better than his debate almost two weeks ago:
"How can you assure the American people that you won't have another night like the one you did in Atlanta?"
BIDEN: "How can you assure you're gonna be on, on, you know — fate's not gonna intervene on your way to go to work tomorrow?"

That’s the interview in a nutshell. Biden is tripling down that he is not leaving the race and his doing his best to tamp down calls for him to quit. Although, as I suggested, I really don’t think it is working.
