Senator John Fetterman was just on Fox News calling for Republicans in the Senate to nuke the filibuster in order to end the Schumer Shutdown.

I’m continually amazed by some of the positions Fetterman takes, and this is one of them. Not only has he been consistently against his party on the shutdown, but now he’s calling on Republicans to take dire measures to pull the rug out from under his colleagues completely, because he believes they are abusing their power and must be stopped. Amazing.

But do I believe Republicans will end the filibuster for government shutdowns? No, I really don’t, at least not yet. It would have to bet far, far worse for Republicans to finally do this.
