White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt laid out the facts today at a short press briefing about MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, responding to the lunacy among Democrats and in the media.
She specifically cited Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen, who traveled to El Salvador and is spewing lies about the Trump administration and Garcia.

I’m so glad they held this surprise press briefing in order to ensure that there was a factual response to Van Hollen’s lies. Because the media is running with Van Hollen’s comments today – with gusto – and now there is a counter.
But even more than this, the DOJ released more facts about Garcia – namely that the Prince George County Gang Unit determined that Garcia is an MS-13 gang member via a truthful witness account:
This evidence is good enough for police and for two judges, but Democrats want him to just be a ‘Maryland father’ so they will ignore it.
