Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has just announced that he’s running against Senator John Cornyn for his US Senate seat. Paxton says Cornyn is running for a 5th time for this seat and it’s time for a more conservative alternative:
Cornyn has already begun attacking Paxton, calling him a fraud:

Paxton responded, saying “Our campaign only responds to serious candidates who aren’t 25 points down in the polls.”
Cornyn is a McConnell boy and we all know it. I’ll be happy to see Paxton defeat Cornyn, but he’s gonna have to rally the troops because these establishment types really know how to sling the mud and they have a lot of funding.
