In response to the Supreme Court decision invalidating President Trump’s use of IEEPA to issue global tariffs, former Deputy Attorney General and a professor of Trade law at UC Berkeley, John Yoo, said on Fox News that Trump can still issue all of his tariffs against other countries, but that it will have to be more deliberative and will take time to do so, which he guesses is about a year given that part of the process is court challenges.
