DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin was asked this morning by Fox News host Dana Perino if DHS still describes Alex Pretti as a domestic terrorist, as Secretary Noem said over the weekend.
Her answer is quite revealing, in my opinion:
In times past I’m absolutely certain McLaughlin would have given a resounding ‘YES’ to the question if the facts on the ground supported that at this point. However, because Noem may have gotten out over her skis a bit on this one, DHS is dialing it back.
