President Trump was just asked about the photo meme that he posted on his Truth Social, that seemed to depict him as Jesus healing a man.
However, Trump said that’s not what he thought it was:
I must admit, I find this hilarious. Maybe Trump is telling the truth about not realizing it was him as Jesus, but I also find that bizarre. I mean, it was almost universally interpreted as one way and I don’t think you can blame the garbage media for that. For Trump to suggest that he didn’t realize what it was seems laughable.
However plenty of people accuse him of lying when he isn’t, and few people give him the benefit of the doubt. This is an image that he’s now deleted and it doesn’t even really matter. I wrote to someone in the comments of one article that I never believed Trump had a god-complex when I saw the photo, that I believe he just loves his adoring fans and their memes of him. He posts them all the time. His explanation, true or false, doesn’t change any of that for me. This isn’t a hill worth dying on so I’ll just take Trump’s word for it and move on.
