President Trump was asked about the ceasefire with Iran today in the White House and said that it’s ‘unbelievably weak’, adding that it’s on ‘life support’.
He explains why:
I think what this means is that Trump is about ready to be done with these negotiations. Please be done with it! I think he should wait a few days (to surprise them) and then begin his bombing campaign to further cripple Iran, so we can finally move on.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, I like what Bill Shipley has to say about it:
To control the Strait of Hormuz, the US should put the onus on the Saudis, UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait. They need the Strait to be open.
Since the discovery of oil, these Princeling countries have always wanted to keep their citizens from needing to get dirt under their fingernails. Fine.
While the all have very small populations in comparison to Iran, the one thing all of them have is barrels full of money.
Hire a mercenary army from another part of the world, and pay them to occupy the coast of Iran. Build bases and stage attack helicopters that can strike missile and drone launch points farther in the interior.
Be prepared to pay the families of any of the foreign soldiers killed by Iran.
They need to get off the sidelines and use the one resource available to them in large amounts.
The Saudis have ended their sponsorship of the LIV Golf Tour. Maybe use that money to protect themselves.
