Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was on MSNBC this morning and put on a master class on the issues of affordability and the billions that were sent to Argentina.
Notice in this first clip the language Bessent uses when discussing the affordability crisis, how they’ve ‘slowed price increases’ down:
I like the way Bessent put it in this clip and I think that is accurate. Prices have not necessarily come down on groceries, but we also don’t see these prices going up anymore either. That’s not to say there aren’t price increases, but as a general rule, groceries are about the same as they were before Trump.
In the next clip, Bessent cooks the MSNBC host asking him about the so-called ‘bailout’ of billions that we just sent Argentina:
It really is amazing to me the things that liberals suddenly care about when they are not in power. Especially with regard to affordability, do you ever remember the garbage media screeching about this when Biden was driving prices up with rampant inflation? But now, suddenly they care about it? It’s this way every time. Biden enjoyed a relatively quiet presidency when it came to the garbage media. But with Trump, it’s still one scandal after another, just like in his first term.
