Welp, it looks like the angry Trump supporters got their way as Walmart just pulled the “Impeach 45” merchandise from their online store:
BUZZFEED – Walmart removed a line of “Impeach 45” items from its website on Tuesday after backlash on social media from supporters of President Trump.
The product pages for the baby onesie and similar items were no longer active as of Tuesday afternoon. A search for “impeach 45” on Walmart’s website also did not return any results.
A Walmart spokesperson confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the items had been removed.
“These items were sold by third party sellers on our open marketplace, and were not offered directly by Walmart. We’re removing these types of items pending review of our marketplace policies,” read a statement from the company.
Walmart did not respond to follow-up questions about how long such a review will take, if the items could be re-listed following the review, and whether other products featuring political messages will also be affected.
I’m a little surprised that Walmart went to the trouble of pulling their merchandise, however I guess I shouldn’t be. They would have likely reacted the same way if it had been 4 years ago and “Impeach 44” shirts.
Also, they’ve been getting bomb threats:
As a precaution, the Broad River Road WalMart has been evacuated after someone called in a threat to the store. SLED is with us on scene to ensure safety. Updates will be provided when available.

Update: All clear given at Walmart. No threat found.

Fortunately it was a fake threat as you probably expected. But who knows, perhaps this weighed in on their decision to pull the merchandise.
