The jury in the trial of disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein has finally come back with a verdict, finding him guilty of both a criminal sex act and rape:

But, as Aarti Pole points out, Weinstein was acquitted of the more serious charges:

Here’s more:
CNN – Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of committing a criminal sex act in the first degree involving one woman and rape in the third degree involving another woman.
A New York jury acquitted the disgraced movie mogul on the more serious charges of predatory sexual assault involving the two women, Miriam Haley and Jessica Mann.
In doing so, jurors indicated that they did not find beyond a reasonable doubt that Weinstein had also raped Annabella Sciorra, another victim whose testimony prosecutors used in an attempt to establish Weinstein’s predatory behavior.
I’m seeing conflicting information on the sentencing guidelines. It appears Weinstein could face up to 25 years in prison, which is the maximum. The minimum may be as few as five years. Hopefully the judge won’t be too lenient on him…
