Another interesting development in the raiding of Mike Cohen, Trump’s trusted lawyer and longtime buddy.
There is a yuge recusal from the U.S. Attorney office that pulled the trigger on the raid:
SCOOP: ABC News has learned Geoffrey Berman, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, is recused from the Michael Cohen investigation. He had no role in raid of Cohen's office. Another recusal that will make @realDonaldTrump unhappy.

This takes away one of the left-wing narratives that was being used to show that the raid was legit, because Berman was Trump-appointed, and is a Republican.

So clearly, Berman thought (or was pressured by deep state commie operatives!!!) that he had conflicts of interest and should not stay on the case. But that allows Trump defenders to claim that the entire investigation is hopelessly tainted.
Uh oh. Trump is gonna tweet storm after this bombshell. Apparently Geoffrey Berman, the attorney that signed the warrant for the FBI to raid Cohn’s office has just now recused himself from the investigation. Expect a lot of capital letters in WITCH HUNT from Trump again.

AND liberals were saying the raid was likely justified because it was ordered by Berman – but now the reports are that it wasn’t ordered by him.
So I frankly don’t know where we stand. We need more info to conclude if Mueller has “gone rogue” [which is bad again after Sarah Palin made it a good thing, I guess?] or if these prosecutorial actions are justified. But that won’t stop everyone online from FREAKING OUT with their searing hot takes…
