Well, well, well. Elizabeth Warren’s little pet project over at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau just couldn’t help itself. While Democrats are keeping the government shut down, workers sent home (NOT the worst thing by the way), military pay at risk (that on the other hand is terrible) – while all that is going on in the month-long standoff, the Warrenites at CFPB weren’t deterred from trying to GROW government more anyway.
The audacity, y’all. And worse — trying to get away with it under Russ Vought’s nose. That dog won’t hunt, libs.
So old Fauxcahontas Warren came up with the idea for the big government Consumer Financial Protection Bureau back during the Obama years, and it was set up to be immune from federal spending cuts and government shutdowns. Yes, hypocrisy is unlimited in Democrat D.C. But thankfully in Trump’s D.C. the Democrats keep getting caught.
And so a few days ago, conservative media busted the CFPB using the loophole of Warren’s making to not only stay open and carry on with its business as usual during the current shutdown, but even go on A HIRING SPREE!. Fred Lucas from the Daily Signal reported:
In the middle of a government shutdown, as federal employees are facing layoffs, one agency is reportedly hiring.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau—the brainchild of Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren while she was still a law professor at Harvard—plans to add legal staff, American Banker reported.
The outlet first reported on Friday about an internal CFPB email dated Oct. 1 that it has two job openings for attorney-advisors in the legal division of the Office of Litigation. This was the first day of the government shutdown.
AND a tipster has confirmed to me that CFPB job listings have now magically disappeared from all of these job sites:
• CFPB Current Openings Page
• USA JOBS
• Monster
• Indeed
• LinkedIn
• Glassdoor
• ZipRecruiter
• CareerBuilder
• PSJD
• ABA Careers
• LawJobs
• LawCrossing
Yeah that’s right. I got sources.
But I have to say, this is another example of conservative media holding government accountable and forcing results — and a reminder about how the obsolete mainstream media just doesn’t do their job and doesn’t care one inch about serving the interests of ordinary Americans, or the truth for that matter, anymore.
Also, kudos to Vought taking on the terrible burden of CFPB, stepping in and making the agency knock it off and actually try to save taxpayers some money while the Schumer Shutdown continues.
