Rep. Byron Donalds from Florida was the lone member who changed his vote on the 3rd ballot from Kevin McCarthy to Jim Jordan, bringing the opposition from 19 to 20 votes.
He explained on Fox Business why he decided to vote for Jim Jordan.

Donalds said he has nothing against McCarthy and he feels like McCarthy may still have a way to win this.
But after voting twice for McCarthy, he felt like McCarthy just wasn’t able to close the deal and decided to switch.
He also thinks it’s a terrible idea to just continue holding back to back votes without some kind of recess for Republicans to discuss it.
