MAJOR UPDATE: It turns out the car was registered to Mohammed Ali, but the police are giving us a different name of the attacker – Abdul Razak Ali Artan:

Here’s more on Abdul Razak Ali Artan:

Law enforcement officials told NBC News the suspect’s name is Abdul Artan, an 18-year-old student at the university. He was a Somali refugee who left his homeland with his family in 2007, lived in Pakistan and then came to the United States in 2014 as a legal permanent resident of the United States, officials said.

The motive was unknown, but officials said the attack was clearly deliberate and may have been planned in advance.

“This was done on purpose,” Stone said.

Both CBS and NBC are reporting that the he suspect in the Ohio State University attack was a 20-year-old Somali refugee who was also student there. NBC reporter Pete Williams also says that this appears to have been a planned attack:

So I guess we can officially use the term Islamic terrorism and it wouldn’t surprise me if this was done in the name of ISIS.
