CDC tells DOJ to appeal mandate decision

The CDC has told the DOJ to appeal the undoing of Biden’s transportation mask mandate by U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, who ruled that the CDC violated the Constitution in ordering it.

Via Fox News:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is asking the Department of Justice to proceed with its appeal of a ruling issued by a Florida judge on Monday which tossed out the Biden administration’s mask mandate for public transportation passengers.

“To protect CDC’s public health authority beyond the ongoing assessment announced last week, CDC has asked DOJ to proceed with an appeal in Health Freedom Defense Fund, Inc., et al., v. Biden, et al. It is CDC’s continuing assessment that at this time an order requiring masking in the indoor transportation corridor remains necessary for the public health. CDC will continue to monitor public health conditions to determine whether such an order remains necessary. CDC believes this is a lawful order, well within CDC’s legal authority to protect public health,” the statement reads.

Well that didn’t take long and it’s ridiculous. We all know masks don’t stop tiny particles.

But even more than that, I really don’t think it will go over well at all if the Biden admin tries to reimpose mask mandates on the travel industry. We all saw the videos of just how relieved people were to get this news and I truly believe that’s across the board. Yes, I know some want to wear their masks to the grave. But I think people have been sick of this for a long time and have just been tolerating it.

To go back to forced masking at this point would make November even worse for Democrats in my opinion, if that’s even possible.
