Chick-fil-A banned from campus of a “Christian” university

Chick-fil-A has been banned from a “Christian” university campus for not supporting LGBTQW groups:

CBN NEWS – The student government at a private liberal arts college in Texas has voted to ban Chick-fil-A from their campus. Trinity University, who is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, does not have a Chick-fil-A on their campus, but serve its food on a rotating basis in the cafeteria.

The unanimous vote resulted in a new resolution being added, pressuring leadership to follow through with the ban. The resolution was adopted on May 1, with the student government outlining Chick-fil-A’s donations to groups that failed to support LGBTQ+ rights.

“Trinity’s values of diversity and inclusion and Chick-fil-a’s values regarding the LGBT+ community are mutually exclusive,” the resolution read.

“Chick-fil-a donated 1.8 million dollars to anti-LGBT+ organizations in 2017, such as the Paul Anderson Youth Home, the Salvation Army, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, according to their most recent available tax return,” the resolution cited.

“Underrepresented students from the LGBT+ community have expressed the drastic assault on their identities and beings as a result of Chick-fil-A’s ideals and actions, and SGA stands to represent all students regardless of the size of the community,” the resolution continued. “Trinity is a university that emphasizes its commitment to diversity and inclusion. Having Chick-fil-a in the rotation at Revolve conflicts with those values.”

Ty Tinker, student government president, said that they decided to go after the fast food issue after “a lot of proactive folks, including PRIDE (Trinity’s student LGBT group), came to student government and university administrators.”

Of course it’s affiliated with the Presbyterian church. They have completely sold out to the gay agenda.

I think it’s time for the Huckster to organize another “support Chick-fil-A” day to hit back at these universities and cities trying to ban Chick-fil-A all because their owner believes in Godly marriage between a man and a woman.

I think that’s where I’m gonna get dinner tonight. WHO’S WITH ME???

  1. I’m going to say this until someone repeatedly repeats it! Absolutely NOTHING works using the gay concept! Can a bolt fasten to another bolt and hold something together? NO! Can a female plug plug into another female plug and make your computer work? NO! NOTHING WORKS USING THE GAY CONCEPT ESPECIALLY HUMANS PERIOD!!!

  2. Unfortunately, there isn’t a Chick-fil-A anywhere near me, so I can’t join you. This is an abomination.

    1. @lillie-belle

We don’t have a Chick-Fil-A near me either. The closest one is in the next county from me at the mall.
      😕

  3. Portnoy’s Complaint portrayed the peccadillos, idiosyncrasies and perversions of a teen highlighted by his weird behavior with a slab of liver.
It won’t be long before LGBTQ attack dogs want to call Portnoy’s interaction with tonight’s dinner liver a marriage

  4. Sounds like there is no religion in that Presbyterian college. Don’t send your children there. They may be false prophets.

  5. This makes absolutely no sense. Are they going to start banning Christians next and take in atheists?

  6. This Jewish guy is going there for lunch tomorrow and I don’t even eat fast food. I’m sick of this crap.

  7. I expected bigsir74 to be on on this thread. He loves Chick-fil-A and eats there about 3 times a week. Sure hope he’s okay!

      1. @PlotEvil You should ask him next time you see him here. He’s never mentioned free food when he talks about them.

    1. People should be judged by the company they keep. Colleges by the students they recruit. Don’t send your children to that school.

  8. Honestly, any more I need a score card to keep all of this straight..who supports what, who bans whom, the affiliations lines are getting so blurred, my head is spinning.

    1. I am at a point that I don’t give a cr*p what anyone else is for or against because I can think for myself. If only progressives could do the same. For the past month, Media Matters phrase for every demonrat POTUS candidate who has no clue how to respond to a questions, has been to say, “I definitely think we should have a conversation about that.” Last week, every MSM nutjob said, “Constitutional Crisis,” without having any clue what that actually means. The Demonrats, mainstream media and all puppets of satan-soros use the same talking points, which they are given through Media Matters “For America.” This also includes the “fair and balanced” idiots on FoxNews, such as Juan Williams.

  9. The Presbyterian’s haven’t been Christian for years now. And this is definitely not a Christian university.

    1. Very few churches preach the truth. They preach what the congregation wants to hear. My favorite preacer was just kicked out of
A grace baptist church in Tn. Because he told it like it is. The church is now full of false prophets. Jesus was crucified because he told the truth.

  10. The amount of free advertising Chick-Fil-A gets! Wow!! All of this just reminds people how good they are and makes the lines longer at every location. They are the fastest growing fast food chain – great food and great service.
And c’mon lefties, even the gays love them, you know it – there’s even a song some drag queens put together (on YouTube) about how they love Chick-Fil-A (kind of a nasty song… imagine that!) This has turned into the best and longest viral ad campaign EVER. Good for Chick-Fil-A.

      1. no- it’s you and buzzkill and that’s it, the rest of us just can’t get enogh of it- j/k- even commercials now are filled with gays an trannies- it’s disgusting-

      1. Juan Williams is and always has been an indoctrinated black man who is still on the plantation. You can tell by his reactions that he doesn’t even believe most of the crap that comes from his mouth. Democrat mouthpiece. FOX is disappointing me greatly. I no longer get my news from there. Drudge and the libertydaily tell it like it is.

        1. My point is that all liberal progressive on these programs get ALL of their talking points and “thoughts” from Media Matters (“for” America), which is funded by satan-soros. Tucker Carlson/FoxNews points out the Media Matters talking points of the week by showing a medley of every spokesman on CNN, MSNBC, the alphabet stations, which is fun. I have begun keeping a list each week.

We get Newsmax through DirecTV and I could subscribe to OANN, but don’t because I go to their website regularly. DirecTV should offer OANN as part of the basic package; I will not pay extra for that, just as I would not pay for Fox Nation, FoxNews’ new online programming. It is disturbing that everything is all about money.

      1. I think it is all about distracting the American people from what both the GOP and DNC are doing in the Legislature (or NOT doing, as it were). People are easily distracted by the chaos that politicians are thrilled to engage us in, rather than actually DOING THEIR JOBS! Very frustrating.

  19. I read this story over the weekend and in spite of the student government voting for that, the college was not going to ban them. Has this changed, or is this bit of info just missing?

  20. The Presbyterian’s haven’t been Christian for years now. And this is definitely not a Christian university.

    1. Very few churches preach the truth. They preach what the congregation wants to hear. My favorite preacer was just kicked out of

  21. FWIW, there is a Chick-Fil-A at University of the Incarnate Word — less than a mile from Trinity — just across US 281, north of the SA Zoo and E. Hildebrand (Hildebrand @ Broadway). …maybe a 5 minute bike ride, at most.

    1. @TXGRunner I take it you live in or around SA? If so, I’m about 90 miles WSW of SA. Do you listen to Trey Ware & Jack Riccardi?

      1. Many years ago, I listened to Ricci Ware. Then Trey joined and I guess Ricci retired. As I figured, Ricci — a great American and a great Texan — passed away back in 2016.

As I work overseas, I haven’t listened to KTSA in many, many years. I still listen sometimes when I come back to visit, but there’s so much going on, I’m not paying close enough attention to know who I’m listening to…sometimes I just give up and listen to music or podcasts now.

I used to love KTSA and listened for several hours every day…even during my lunch break.

        1. @TXGRunner I love KTSA and listen most every weekday, beginning at 5 AM when Trey comes on. If I have to be in the pasture, I listen from their website on my tablet. SA politics are a horrible liberal mess! And, Rocco was very special. It was so sad when he passed, but the love and tributes were fantastic! Trey and Rocco were great the years the Ware Pair were together on air. I’ve been listening to Trey almost daily and hurt for him as he buried both his children and his father. And, Trey is a big fan of Chick-fil-A and goes off when stuff like this happens. Be safe.

        2. @TXGRunner There have been 3small earthquakes just east of SA this morning. I have been busy and only caught the tail end on the news earlier.

  22. The amount of free advertising Chick-Fil-A gets! Wow!! All of this just reminds people how good they are and makes the lines longer at every location. They are the fastest growing fast food chain – great food and great service.

  23. Trinity is only nominally “Christian.” Even 20 years ago, many of the special events (dramas, speakers, etc.) were typical leftist/statist celebrations of victimhood. As far back as 1992, the majority on campus were clearly pro-abortion based on personal visits I made to the school.

Academically, they’ve also been in free fall for many, many years. There are much better schools that cost much less.

  24. This is kind of old news. I heard the administration told the student government to pound sand and that they were not going to choose vendors based on politics. Last thing I heard was CFA stays at Trinity. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

  25. Which “Presbyterian” group? It does matter you know. “Presbyterian” is generic as “Baptist” or “Anglican”.

    1. Exactly. The PCUSA is leftist and does not hold Scripture as valid. While the PCA is conservative and holds to Calvinism and Scripture. Much like the Lutheran church is divided between those who hold to Sola Scriptura and the Book of Concord, and those who hold make their emotions and feelings the central driver.

  26. So for Chick-fil-a, the question becomes thus:

    A. Sell mor chiken
    or
    B. Honor Jesus and trust Him to provide.

I think I know which letter they will choose, and I think they are FAR beyond caring about selling a few more chiken sandwiches.

  27. So how are there going to be future PCAers? They don’t reproduce (homofascists/abortionists). They don’t recruit well (why be a liberal Christian when you can be an atheist)? Their colleges aren’t distinguishable from worldly colleges. Seems like a a dead-end to me, but you keep on, silly people.

  28. I’ll bet Chick-fil-A was probably giving them free or highly discounted food and not making anything off of them since they were a “Christian” school. Perfect example of “biting the hand that feeds you”. A grilled cool wrap and waffle fries are in my near future.

  29. In today’s world calling oneself “Christian” and being a Christian are not one in the same as we see here by this university.

  30. Dinner will be in my kitchen. I live quite a distance from town and any time I pass by one of our Chik Fil A’s the drive thru is slammed.

  31. Best Chick-fil-A joke I’ve seen in a while:

Chick-fil-A should offer a Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon, and Tomato chicken sandwich just so they can call it the LGBT Special.

    1. My favorite BLT condiment is guacamole. I don’t do mayo, and that’s the only LGBT support I can get behind.

      1. @squirrelly
I’m embarrassed to admit I have never tasted an avocado in all my years on this planet (55 next month)

        1. That’s alright. If it appealed to you then you’d have had one by now I’m sure 😀 😀 . I’d say it’s 50/50 of people who like them and people who don’t. I’ll cut one open and scoop it out with a spoon, and we do them in our crawfish boils and of course, I like guacamole, and there is a favorite restaurant that stuffs them with chicken & cheese and deep fries them. I haven’t met an avocado I don’t like.

        2. @wendzpnw – I LOVE Avocados! They have “good” fat & that fat is healthy for brain function. They are great in salads.

          1. @ msliberty You might get a chuckle from my comment to Wendz about the good fat. (I love them them too and eat them everyday in something!)

        3. @wendzpnw I happen to love avocados in all forms, but I saw something that tickled my funnybone. Avocado says: I am the Good Fat. Bacon’s reaction: Lights a cigarette and punches the avocado! Lol

          1. @patriot077 Ahahahaha!!! 😆 😆 :clapping: Good one! I must admit that I still love mr. bad fat bacon once in awhile 😉
            Thanks for the laugh!

            1. Happy to offer up some humor, @msliberty
My world would be complete if I could eat bacon every day!

  32. “Trinity” University needs to change its name.

Sounds like I’ve figured out where I’m eating lunch tomorrow.

  33. Unfortunately, there isn’t a Chick-fil-A anywhere near me, so I can’t join you. This is an abomination.

      😕

  34. I’m in as long as the drive-thru line is short.

So now businesses are required to donate to fringe causes? Pathetic.

  35. Coming to all “top down” run churches. Presbyterians, Episcopalians have already submitted. Catholicism is next. Local churches with no governing bodies are the way to go. It’s the way its supposed to be, anyways.

  36. Pathetic. The Left has had an unhealthy obsession with Chick-fil-A for the past SEVEN YEARS. Goes to show you just how vindictive they are. It also represents a dangerous trend of blacklisting any business that doesn’t share their politics. If I did that, my dining-out options would probably be very limited.

  37. Trinity University/Presbyterian church – THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIAN! They have sold their soul to please mankind, NOT God. What a complete disgrace!!!!!!!!!
