Chris Matthews: Republicans Winning in 2014 Would Bring WAR and PESTILENCE and DICK CHENEY!!!

Today on Hardball, host Chris Matthews, who definitely had his Wheaties and bourbon this morning, launched into a screed that says to the world, “Melissa Harris-Perry ain’t got nothin’ on me!” Obviously miffed at not being the center of attention, Matthews pulls out all the stops in a fear-mongering, race-baiting, spittle-flecked rage-gasm that would leave Kanye West saying “hey man, let’s take it down a notch.”

Abbreviated Transcript (fuller transcript below):

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!andracists!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is just too much wrong to take apart piece by piece. Everyone is looked after by those in power? Victory for the haters? A president who has kept his word? The good Americans jab? Birthers and war and racists, oh my!

I guess it’s good that we all agreed it was time for less inflammatory rhetoric right? I mean just imagine if he had shown targeted races on a map by using targets on a map. The horror!

Matthews wants you to know that if Republicans win, the age of having black grandchildren will be at an end. The KKK will march on Washington to root for the Redskins and administer SATs to unsuspecting potential voters. He doesn’t want to overstate things, but suffice it to say that if Republicans take the House or Senate, a time machine will be invented to go back and prevent Barack Obama from ever having been born!! It’s that bad. It’s grandfather paradox bad.

Matthews literally says that there will be a return to Jim Crow and that there will be new wars under republican leadership. If that isn’t fear-mongering then the word has no meaning whatsoever. And it’s not just fear-mongering, it’s irresponsible, reckless, hate speech. Matthews is flat out saying that you will probably die if you don’t vote for Democrats. That your children will die in Republican wars. That we’ll start a backward march toward slavery. This is disgusting on top of disgusting multiplied by disgusting.

The unkempt host then has the audacity to claim that he will be keeping tabs on people using the race card. Are you hearing the things that I am saying to you? HE is going to keep track of OTHERS for using the RACE CARD!! You can not make this stuff up.

So in honor of Batcrap Crazy Hate-speech-spewing, fear-mongering, race-baiting, wild-eyed, homeless-street-corner-preacher, doom and gloom soothsaying, glue-sniffing, cult-joining, leg-thrilling, raving LUNATIC Matthews, here is my attempt to scare the snot out of you into voting for Republicans.

If Democrats sweep in 2014, Chris Matthews will be happy.

Scariest. Prediction. Yet.

Transcript of the nutbaggery:

I see this year, 2014, as decisive. The elections in ten months could mean the end or a strong new beginning. Who is going to win this November? I’ll tell you right now. It depends on two factors, who votes and what do they care about. If the people who voted big for this president in 2008 or even in 2012, if they show up, it will mean a strong finish for this presidency, a continuation of the forces that put him in the White House. It will mean a long, strong fight to shrink that grand canyon of income inequality in this country, extending unemployment benefits, raising up the minimum wage, getting tax fairness, keeping wall street from another rampage of greed and irresponsibility.

But if only the people who voted in 2010 show up this November, you can kiss all this goodbye. You’ll see the beginning of the end to what could have been what many of us believe should have been an historic turn toward full democratic government in this country, where everyone has a chance for the top office, where everyone is looked after by those in power. It will mean republican control in the house of representatives and the U.S. Senate. And with that, a slow grinding effort to kill not just the president’s health care plan, but his presidency itself and the legacy it promised. It will be a double-downing of efforts to suppress the votes of those who voted for him in historic numbers, a return to something like Jim Crow days, redolent of all the anti-black gimmickry. Literary tests and poll taxes and all the rest. The goal will be to erase not just Obama from the history books, but any evidence that someone of his background should ever think of being president. It will mean victory for the haters. And believe me, it could well mean another war, like the two we got from W, wars that achieved nothing but the deaths of Americans and the growing hatred of those we claim to be out there saving. The Dick Cheneys of the city right here in town are still aprowl, still stalking one more chance to get us back there in Iraq. Still there in Afghanistan and heading toward Libya or Syria or Iran, wherever they can point the way and blow the bugle. You think that won’t happen? That it can’t happen? You better start paying attention, because it’s already starting. State after state right now led by republicans has spent the last three years trying to suppress the black vote. And the young people’s vote, and the old people’s vote. Should they win as they did in 2010, they’ll launch another offensive. What they don’t get from gerrymandering, they will try to get by voting requirements, new requirements, and changes in the electoral college even.

And if you think that won’t get us into another war of them getting reelected, read the newspaper. Nothing is easier to find these days or easier to write than the latest screed by an armchair general yelling charge. Here at “Hardball” I promise to keep you, the good people who care about this country being a good America, up to date on what is afoot out there. Who is coming at you? Who is selling you out? Who is playing that old race card, the birthers and the rest of that ilk? Who simply can’t abide what this country looks like in the year 2014. Can’t abide that we have president who’s kept his word. Committed ourselves to the knuckle-headed wars of W. And the whole wrong-headed gang of his.

Yep. He really said that. You know what I say?

Vote Republican. Because Chris Matthews doesn’t want you to.
