A real mature display here from the senior U.S. Senator from New York.
Via Townhall:
In 2009, there were about 235,000 tax returns filed from million-dollar-plus earners. Let’s say they each paid an additional $25,000 in taxes, right now. That would barely raise $6 billion. Double, triple, or quadruple that tax and you still don’t have enough to “pay for” the $35 billion portion of Obama’s “jobs” bill that is supposedly badly needed in order to save people from dying in fires, or other horrible fates.
So how exactly are a handful of millionaires holding up this bill again?
And another thing. Whatever happened to that $787 billion from Obama’s first jobs bill – that being the so-called stimulus bill he signed just weeks after taking office?
Oh yeah. Right.
