Cincinnati IRS Agent: Special ‘task force’ in DC made decisions about processing Tea Party applications

NBC News has an article out this morning that is mostly a rehash of information we already know. But there was something else in the article that caught my eye:

Cleta Mitchell, another attorney representing conservative groups that allege they were targeted, said an IRS agent in Cincinnati told her a “task force” IRS office in Washington, D.C., was making the decisions about the processing of applications, and that she subsequently dealt with IRS representatives there.

“(The IRS agent in Cincinnati) told me that in fact the case would be transferred to a special task force out of Washington, and that he was told – he was the originally assigned agent – that he wasn’t allowed to make decisions, the decisions were all going to be made in Washington,” Mitchell said. “I know that this process was going on in Washington because I’ve dealt with those people.”

I’m betting this Cincinnati agent also knows names since he dealt directly with these people. Let’s hope it doesn’t take Issa long to follow this lead because I’m betting this one’s gonna make some people in the White House a little nervous.

  1. So when are these “low level” employees of the IRS going to come testify in front of congress?? Can’t wait for that one.  Issa seems like a smart guy, so why tool around with these liberal retards in Washington who lie and won’t talk about it yet claim no wrong was done.  Get the people from Cinncinati to testify.  Then recall others higher up.

    1. I hear what you are saying and want to see complete justice rain down heavily on every last individual involved in each and every one of these scandals; but Issa, he is a hack too.

      1. Swamp Fox Yes Issa has his skeletons as well, but we can expose those later. Right now we need to stop the “fundamental” change of America obama promised during the campaign. If Issa wants to lead that charge, fine. We also need to be writing letters to congress to keep pushing on all this.

Obama wants to use the strong arm of government to crush those that will oppose him so he can usher in a long term democrat power in DC that will slowly lead to full on soft tyranny in the USA.
I am still surprised Valerie Jarrett’s name has not come up yet.
        May God save America.

  2. Must be the same “task force” that has been targeting Tea Party protests of the IRS by sending in DHS agents!  Folks, this is coming straight from the White House and these tyrants know it!  They are abusing their power with multiple agencies!  Funny how DHS doesn’t enforce laws when ILLEGAL immigrants hold violent protest, but show up for a peaceful Tea Party protest in front of the IRS.  This is flat out tyranny!  This administration must be impeached and imprisioned, not some low man on the totem pole getting canned…full impeachment of the Imposter and his merry band of demons must be demanded!

  3. Sure, I believe that. And I simultaneously believe all the other lies the obama regime tells. And who cares? There are enough crimes and treasons to go around.  They all need to be parachuted into Syria or Iran, after their passports and all personal property are confiscated.

      1. SSGRick lawngreen That comes AFTER their usual fascistic genocide has run its course. Never before. You can’t put them in front of a firing squad until millions of their fellow countrymen have been murdered in gulags or tortured in secret police stations.
        Ask the people of Romania.

      2. SSGRick I guess, even with the high cost of ammo, that would still be cheaper.
OK, I’ll sign off on it.

    1. Not yet, Lawn Bro! Even if she has to plead the fifth on every question, I want to see the HOC subpoena that Lerner broad (no disrespect to any ladies intended), and hammer her with question after question after question until she’s squealing like a stuck pig (yeah I know I’m mixing metaphors there), especially Representative Trey Gowdy. After that…Hasta la Vista, baby…

      1. doofuschmartz There are too many chances for failure with a long campaign. A swift, decisive, harsh, overwhelming response is better.

  4. Obama is going to “get to the bottom (not the top) of this”.
(He already knows who is at the top).
    😉 😉

    1. Yes, HE does, Tin Liz man, but as I have said before, you can bet your bottom buck that the Prevaricator of the United States went to great lengths never to say or do anything that could actually implicate him directly. All he had to do was make the accusations, hint at retribution, grease the palms and the skids in the way of bonuses, accolades and promotions (which we have seen with sickening frequency), and voilà…you have the makings of a perfect scandal that does not touch Obamassiah…

      1. You’re so welcome..I just stumbled on it..and just couldn’t stop!

  5. Soooo was this a “low level” task force?
Cuz the Barack Insane administration tells us that the ones responsible for profiling Tea Party groups were all “low level employees”. To hear the administration talk about it, you’d think they were nothing more than a bunch of interns from college frat houses pulling a big “IRS prank” on Tea Party groups.
Awwww…! You got us! Next comes the HAZING phase of this scandal. The interns will be let lose to tape all of our buns together!
Seriously, sounds a little bit more like a concerted effort to illegally discriminate against one group for another.

  6. Drip, drip, drip. With more and more facts dripping out, I don’t know why the White House just doesn’t come clean and admi what they did. You really can’t keep anything a secret forever in Washington, so the White House should just cut their losses and admit what they did. I know that will never happen because all criminals always think they’re innocent, but you would think somebody at the White House would put country before themselves. Naaaaa, never happen.

  7. The TWO NAMES I have not heard mentioned in all of these scandals are:
    Valerie Jarrett
    David “greasy” Axelrod
I am SURE the “buck” stops with them – at least cents worth anyway!

    1. YoJoe Definitely involved Joe!  Then there is plausible deniability because the Obama campaign isn’t part of the federal gov’t.

      1. Orangeone
        Neither is Obama –
He is not part of it –
He is the “HOLE” of the gubmint.

  8. Jibes with the former employee that said none of those decisions are made by low level local agents.

  9. Regardless of whether anyone admits to it or not these orders came from the Oval Office and I believe it will be proven. Yes, it will take time but as written in Luke 8: 17:
” For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.”

  10. If people like Lisa Myers at NBC/MSNBC are reporting on this, Obama and his administration are in trouble and better yet, these scandals might lead to stopping the illegal immigration legislation and even halting full implementation of Obamacare. It’s hard to get much done when the lefty press begins investigating you.

    1. Conservator1
Reporting, yes.  But they’re not that worried about, as they are on the same side as Obama anyway.  Sooner than later, the “reporting” will be that Republicans are overplaying their hand.

      1. CalCoolidge Conservator1 I beg to differ.
I worked in the media for over 30 years and when they believe an administration is culpable as the Lisa Myers story implies, than politics become a secondary consideration.
Even the lame-street-media becomes more interested in their credibility, their competition and more important, beating the FIRST to uncover the truth behind any possible scandal. When the MSM  smells blood, they eat their own.

        1. Conservator1
There’s also the jockeying that goes on when they smell a change in the wind.  They all know they want access to whoever replaces barack, and after major scandals, that’s usually the other party’s candidate.

        2. K-Bob, I whole wholeheartedly agree.
CalCoolidge – I was referring to the journalists and not media talking heads.
I agree if Obama was in real trouble, they would attempt to protect him with political spin initially, but if evidence emerges linking Obama personally to any of these scandals directly, NO editor or journalist would dare to allow their competition to break news such on story.
Watergate careers in journalism are a rare opportunity for the press and the personal benefits are significant.
Based on congressional testimony, Americans and the press know that higher-ups like Holder lied. Targeting Holder is an acceptable choice for a press that was itself a TARGET.
Fox’s latest poll clearly indicates that Americans by a significant margin want these scandals investigations to continue and that they don’t believe Republicans are “overplaying their hand.” BTW, did you see this poll?

          “American voters say 76 – 17 percent, including 63 – 30 percent among Democrats, that a special
prosecutor should be appointed to investigate charges the Internal Revenue Service targeted
conservative groups, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.
President Barack Obama gets a negative 45 – 49 percent job approval rating, compared to
48 – 45 percent positive in a May 1 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack)
University, conducted before the IRS allegations surfaced.
The president’s biggest drop is among independent voters, who give him a negative
          37 – 57 percent score, compared to a negative 42 – 48 percent May 1. He gets a negative 9 – 86
percent from Republicans and a positive 87 – 8 percent from Democrats, both virtually…

    2. Conservator1 They’ll slip the illegal alien amnesty in while we are distracted.  Watch the other hand!

  11. I’m just glad Stretch Pelosi drained the swamp
And this is the most transparent admin EVER.
Imagine where we MIGHT be! <Shudders>

      1. YoJoe PhilipSpitzer   <–she’s had so many face
lifts she wears a triangular beard

  12. Bottom line: After the 2010 elections , Urkel panicked and sent out the word..” We gotta STOP these guys…WHATEVER IT TAKES” And it looks like it worked
Barry’s a creature of habit. His thug tactics worked famously in why would he stop?
    LAW? pfft ..merely an obstacle
    Ethics? Huh? what’s THAT?
Collateral damage? So what? He’s on a CRUSADE and if some get in the way, that’s life

  13. I can see this raft full of people floating down a river towards a very large waterfall.  All polls and oars have been lost due to rough turbulence and inexperienced crewmen.  The river is starting to flow faster and faster.  No one on board can actually see the waterfall yet but they are beginning to hear its roar in the distance.

    1. NYGino Let’s see if they all make it because I think they’re going to be pushing people off the raft only to find the falls awaiting them.

  14. Hey OBAMA!!  Got your morning coffee yet?  You listening?  Start shaking in your slippers you criminal bastard!

    1. kong1967 He may try to slip out of the WH some night under the cover of darkness to find protection with his family in Kenya.

      1. njmomkong1967Well since Shoebat has connect Barky’s brother to terrorists, we can only hope it will be soon.
And none other than Lois Lerner’s pushed Barky’s brother’s nonprofit through
“When the Barack H. Obama Foundation sought tax-exempt status to raise
money for good works in Kenya, the Internal Revenue Service provided
quick help.  The IRS approved charitable status for the foundation, which was run
by President Obama’s brother and named after his father, in about a
month’s time.  The IRS also agreed to give the group this important financial status
retroactively, back to 2009, when it had begun its fundraising.”

    2. kong1967 His morning coffee is promptly at eleven o’clock.  Then he kicks off for lunch till three, then gets on AF1 to go give a speech and party, then he sits up watching video of drone strikes till 3am.

      1. K-Bob  Yeah, I remember seeing somewhere that he really gets off on watching drone strikes.

      2. K-Bob kong1967 But, but, but, you missed the tee time and 18 holes he does so frequently.

  15. Some of these agents are being sued personally. This should uncork the decision makers.

  16. 40 years ago something would have been done about these scandals.  Today I have no confidence in anyone in our government to do anything that is honest or right.  Just look at Fast & Furious.  Far worse than the IRS scandal, Americans died and look where it has gone, a trash can in D.C. somewhere.

    1. MadJack I don’t know if I would say it’s worse.  Yeah, people died, but as far as outstretching impacts on the future of the entire nation and our freedoms?  I’d have to say the IRS scandal is worse.  If this activity would have continued, assuming it ever stopped, it would have done a lot of damage to our nation.  Obama may very well have won the election because of this.  Silence the opposition…..and it worked.  It’s suppressing free speech in order to suppress the vote.
I don’t think anything will be done about it, either.

      1. kong1967 MadJack One of the lawsuits being filed said they have been targeted as recently as 4 weeks ago…..

        1. Orangeone  I saw a passing glimpse of that on Fox today.  March 6th, I believe, if it’s the same story.

    2. We hear in Southern Az take Fast and Furious rather personally…being BP Terry was stationed here..and Rio Rico is just miles down the freeway..not only that but those weapons came back across in illegals hands through our deserts, towns and counties…
I can’t believe holder was fired over this…it sickens me.

      1. ImacowgirlinTucson Might be a typo, Holder wasn’t fired.  And their handy work again, dropping everything to blame a low level person. Sickening. Both Brian Terry and Jamie Zapata deserve justice. Be assured, there are many on Twitter that are keeping these murders alive.

        1. You’re right Orangeone..I tried to edit it to “wasn’t” but it wouldn’t let me..saying there was an error..??   So I just left it. So for everyone that reads my comment…well you get the…thanks Orangeone, yes they deserve justice as every American that’s been murdered by this administration…

        2. ImacowgirlinTucson Thought so!  You are a great conservative….hate the 5 minute edit limit on LiveFyre….

    1. LoJoFo  One thing’s for sure, they better put him in witness protection.  Keep him away from the unions and WH brownshirts.

  17. Valerie Jarrett will have covered her tracks well…no e-mails, letters, phone records, or anything.
I believe that she is the center of all of the scandals.

    1. anneinarkansas IMO, you hit the nail on the head. Valerie Jarrett reminds me of the Anti-Christ’s protector who lead’s him to world domination if we use the Book of Revelations as a reference. And it should apply to King Barack and his minions cause his presidency has been apocalypses.
If Congress wants to know the facts about the scandals – Fast & Furious, Benghazi, IRS and the illegal tactics of going after the press, all they have to do is subpoena all of her meetings, emails and phone records.
I’m certain Obama used her to do his dirty work and thus, hide any trail that would lead back to him. Valerie Jarrett is despicable and the one person who would gladly fall on the sword meant for Obama.

  18. These IRS employees will continue to point UP until the real culprit is revealed and forced to resign or face impeachment.

    1. ConservativeFromHell  As they should.  I wouldn’t want to go to prison for what I was ordered to do by superiors.  I’d rat them out in a second.

    2. ConservativeFromHell  As they should.  I wouldn’t want to go to prison for what I was ordered to do by superiors.  I’d rat them out in a second.

    1. shilo I will bet you that the name Valerie Jarrett was the one running this task force and she is the one who was meeting with the IRS commish 118 times.  It makes me all warm and fuzzy thinking about her being prosecuted and found guilty!
