CNN: Democrats sounding the ALARM about previous Dem-stronghold in Florida going for Trump!

Miami-Dade county, which went overwhelmingly for Clinton in 2016, suddenly has Democrats very worried according to CNN:

Miami-Dade went for Clinton in 2016 with 624,146 votes, versus Trump getting only 333,999.

But this time around, according to CNN, “many more Republicans” have voted in person in early voting than Democrats and that has Democrats like Frederica Wilson sounding the alarm, saying they must stop the bleeding if Joe Biden is to win Florida.

According to Politico:

“To date, Republicans have turned out 59 percent of their voters in Miami-Dade and Democrats have turned out 53 percent, a 6-point margin. That’s twice the margin Republicans had at this point in 2016.”

CNN says Wilson is worried, especially because the black and hispanic community vote in Miami-Dade is not going Biden’s way. Other Democrats are saying the same thing:

There is not the turnout here [Miami] in the black community that I’ve seen in the past. I can speculate about the reasons, but the fact is it remains concerning,” said state Sen. Oscar Braynon, a Black Miami Democrat who held a get-out-the-vote event Wednesday with rapper Fat Joe Wednesday.

What Brayon is getting at is that they are blaming Biden for this:

“Part of the problem, according to interviews with a dozen Democratic elected officials and operatives, is the Biden campaign‘s decision to discourage field staff from knocking on doors during the pandemic and its subsequent delay in greenlighting — and funding — a return to door-to-door canvassing.”

They can blame Biden all they want, but the truth is likely more about the fact that Trump is making big gains among black and hispanics. And that probably worries them more than anything!
