CNN host Kate Bolduan freaked out after a Trump supporter questioned the ‘former officials’ as sources in the Wapo story about Trump sharing intel with the Russians.
It happens pretty quick in the clip below:
I think it’s wholly appropriate to question the legitimacy of these anonymous ‘former officials’ who are helping push Trump scandal to the forefront, especially when you have someone like McMaster publicly refuting them. That doesn’t mean you have to fully dismiss what they have to say just because they are anonymous, as Higbie did, and then accuse the reporters themselves of lying.
But on the other side to freak out like Kate Bolduan did, acting as though these sources are pristine and infallible just makes her look stupid and biased. Of course she’s going to stand up for CNN’s reporting, but she could have done so in a much more professional and appropriate manner without screaming her face off.
