CNN Chris Cuomo taunted Ted Cruz last night after The Hill posted a video of Cruz criticizing the government paying people more to stay home in unemployment insurance than they would have normally received on their jobs:
Sen. @tedcruz: "We are paying a whole lot of people a lot more money to stay home and not work than they made on their jobs — and that is terrible." pic.twitter.com/EfqTJERkNt

Come on @CuomoPrimeTime and make the case @SenTedCruz. First question: show me the numbers, please? #doyourjob https://t.co/fARfDrocJh

Cuomo tells Cruz to come on his show and make his case with the hashtag “#doyourjob”. As if it’s his job to come on the show of a left-wing hack.
Cruz quickly responded, pointing out that he had just given CNN an exclusive yesterday that they almost entirely ignored. In fact, Cruz said they only played 15 seconds of a 7 minute interview on TV:
Chris, the clip you forwarded from The Hill is from a CNN EXCLUSIVE yesterday…that y’all largely refused to air.
I gave @cnn a nearly 7 min interview & you ran 15 sec on TV.
When you air the interviews you already have, then maybe we can discuss new ones. #FakeNews #doyourjob https://t.co/8asuIFOAdu

Cruz added “when you air the interviews you already have, then maybe we can discuss new ones.” Boom!
Media critic Joe Concha made an interesting point about this exchange…
CNN anchors publicly taunting Republican lawmakers and Trump campaign officials on Twitter is totally acceptable at the network.
Could totally imagine Bret Baier, Lester Holt, Margaret Brennan, David Muir doing the same thing… until I can't. https://t.co/ggxU1lm77K
