Jake Tapper at CNN has Ryan Lizza come on to put together the entire timeline of events from the initial leak to James Rosen in 2009 to Eric Holder’s lie to Congress:

  1. Don’t think for a minute that this is journalists trying to stick up for other journalists…this is CNN thinking they might have a story on a Fox News reporter being jailed. I don’t trust these guys, or Fox News for that matter, to do the right thing EVER.

  2. Am I supposed to applaud because they guys suddenly found their scruples with their journalism degrees hiding in the bottom of a dresser drawer?

  3. More proof that this regime is corrupt to the bone and that they especially hate FNC.
Keep up the good work Fox. Pray for Rosen…

  4. You want to know what is really going on here?
(1892-1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an
outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of
    Nazi rule in concentration camps.
Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out–Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me.
‘Some’ of the ‘media’ that has been carrying Obama’s water is beginning understand  that the Obama ‘machine’. will come for them too. Just like the Unions who were so pro-Obama are beginning to realize that under ‘Obamacare’, their cradle to grave, union, Cadillac, health plans are now in jeopardy.
That’s what is going on. With any luck, more of them will begin to ‘speak out’ because it’s beginning to dawn on some of them, that ‘their’ butts are on the line (with this administration) too.
    😉 😉

  5. Notice that Holder didn’t mention anybody at the AP as a “co-conspiritor,” let alone accusing them of espionage. It only happened to Rosen at FOX News. Hmmmm, why would that be? Maybe because Holder AND Obama despise FOX News and want to silence the reporters from there? This is Nixon’s enemies list all over again, only worse. Obama and Holder are actually doing the things Nixon only dreamed of doing, and they are getting away with it because the mainstream media is carrying the water for them. Have you seen a report like this one at CNN on any of the network news programs? Nope, and you never will. Until that happens, Holder and Obama are going nowhere and will continue doing what they do best, which is attack anybody that disagrees with them.

    1. I agree, however I am still impressed that CNN did a nice 6 minute piece on it. I can also say for whatever it matters the Atlanta Journal Constitution has cited this story on page 1 several times and it has been no further than page 3 or four with a big headline-so they’re not burying it at the bottom of page 87. it’s encouraging but it’s because they know they could be next.

  6. OK while this is serious stuff, Rosen was doing his job as a reporter.  What I would ask if I was anyone who mattered,
If Holder is investigating Rosen for these ‘leaks’ that endanger operatives, WHY has he not investigated previous leaks which made dear leader shine before the election, yet put our SPECIAL OPS guys lives at risk?  WHO is going to investigate Those leaks?!

    1. AmericanborninCanada   The leaks Obama didn’t try to go after because they benefitted him were some very serious leaks.  As compared to Rosen’s leak where he just said N.K. might do some nuclear tests (or something) in response to U.N. sanctions.
It is very obvious they were on the witch hunt looking for anything they could stick a Fox reporter with.  This is all they got, and it’s pathetic.
By the way, you ARE someone that matters to us.

    2. AmericanborninCanada Very good timeline!
But do you know what? The problem isn’t a “fairness” thing — why can they do one thing but refuse to render us the same courtesy? — it’s all about their plotting deception and constricting the power of the Constitution so that it becomes irrelevant. This is a consorted criminal attempt to use the powers of government to fascistically impose their will. This IS IN FACT the very definition of the term: criminal conspiracy. This is exactly what the average person would be fired for and face the possibility of prison for, if they were caught doing the very same thing. This is a crime and should not be explained in any other terms. The Obama administration is a “crime syndicate” engaging in covert criminal activity while hiding behind the pillars of Liberty and Justice.
And if Congress, who is supposed to render the checks and balances on this sort of thing, refuses to investigate to the fullest extent of the law, and refuses to effectively prosecute all perjury and wrongdoing, then a federal judge should unilaterally be called upon  to issue a warrant, delivered by federal marshals loaded to bear, to lock down the IRS and perform a full-scale desk to desk, filing cabinet to filing cabinet, computer to computer, office to office search and seizure. The premises should be treated like a crime scene and each office not cleared until a full investigation has been achieved.
Anything short of this is nothing more than a dog and pony show.

      1. stage9 Your whole comment is spot on Stage9, but Crime Syndicate is what it all boils down to and it’s the perfect description. Thank you.  And our Congress is for the most part willing accomplices.

    1. stage9 It won’t last. Maybe they have figured out what losers they are, and want to build some credibility.

        1. stage9
It’s all part of the PLOT!
Word on the street is you sleep with a signed photo of Michelle Obama and have a Valerie Jarrett action figure.

    2. stage9
Because it’s one of their own (a DC Reporter) was in the crosshairs.
FYI According to Hot Air the NY Times did not go to the Holder tea party.

    1. davienne Yeah, but now that he’s lied under oath and has been busted,he “regrets the warrants” and we should all just pretend like it never happened. It’s another example of the Techincolor world of the liberal.

      1. stage9 davienne that is not true… the only thing he regrets .. is .. he got caught, in both the action and the  lie… next week  he wont remember a thing, and swear that he didn’t lie… its the same ole BS with those people…  “I DIDNT LIE… THATS THE WAY I REMEMBER IT “,, I DONT RECAL”…
        BLAH..BLAH ,, BLAH

        1. davienne stage9 Of COURSE it’s not true! But that’s how it’s being sold. He thinks that so long has he “regrets the warrants” (though he originally claimed that no such issuance ever occurred) that somehow this absolves him from the threat of prosecution — that he is somehow ABOVE the consequences of perjury!
And like Mark Levin said yesterday, if the Obama administration doesn’t LIKE a law, they simply IGNORE it and do what they please. That’s completely accurate!
Personally, I have always WONDERED when someone was going to come along and TRY that tactic — someone who would totally ignore the Constitution and the law; who thought that because the bureaucracy was so immense, that no one would ever stop them from imposing their will. I mean who in God’s name are these people accountable to if they won’t hold each OTHER accountable? Who is going to prosecute them? Who is going to send US Marshals to their doors and have them removed? NO ONE! They are the highest offices of Justice! Just short of the American people making a run on the Congress or the White House by force, it’s never going to happen.

  7. Too funny…Eric Holder having an “off the record” meeting with the press. Kinda like Eric Holder investigating his own department.
Would someone please wake me up from this nightmare!

  8. Right Scoop catches CNN in rare moment of reporting the facts – a random act of journalism.

  9. I like how Jake Tapper starts of the segment with, and I’m paraphrasing: “Who cares about the government snooping on the lamestream media right?  But this is really about what your government decides you should know, and what you just can’t handle.”  And then he goes through the whole segment and doesn’t have the guts to even mention the ‘P” word (perjury) or the ‘L’ word (lied) regarding Holder’s testimony.
Your opening statment should have been directed at yourself and your collegues in the government media.  Apparantly Tapper doesn’t think we need to know or can’t handle the truth, (i.e. that Holder liked under oath and perjured himself).  Your a joke Tapper.

    1. mike3e4r7 The fact that CNN is reporting this at all is astounding. Why nitpick? I’ll take it, with gratitude to Jake Tapper.

      1. Because this is really an attempt by CNN to try to ‘wrap up” this story and put it to bed while pretending they’re investigating it.  This is the story they want to tell.  Eric Holder went a little overboard and got a little heavy handed with the media, and now he’s had his wrist slapped is apologizing.  That’s good enough for Tapper and his lot.
As long as Holder does his public apology and promises not to go overboard with the media again, they’re more than happy to keep carrying his water regarding Benghazi, the IRS scandal, Fast and Furious, and anything else that comes up.

        1. mike3e4r7 You may be right, but I hope you’re wrong. I hope there is a defense-mechanism going on in the media.

        2. mike3e4r7 Jake Tapper is a liberal but I’ve found him to be one of the few MSM reporters left who is at least fair.

        3. mike3e4r7
Well you may be wrong for all I know
          But you may be right
You may be wrong but you may be rightYou may be wrong but you may be right
Thanks to the 2 of you I’m stuck with this song in my head.. lol

        4. I admit he’s better than most lib reporters and at least he’s fair, but he’s still not willing to lay it all out on the table.

  10. So Holder might be catching-on finally that he could be in some trouble for lying before Congress…..but not to worry too much, Eric.
If an average citizen lied before Congress, he/she would be in serious trouble because they’re aren’t part of the good ol’ politicians’ club (Congress/administration); however, Holder is a key member of obama’s corrupt administration and he might just slip by with lying in his testimony before Congress.  I certainly hope not, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets by with a free pass.

    1. Army_Pilot1967
I am confused.  So many lies, so little time.  Didn’t Holder say he recused himself from the leak investigation?
