A photo editor at CNN has now resigned after several despicably anti-Semitic tweets from him were revealed:
NY POST – A CNN photo editor has resigned after anti-Semitic tweets he sent in 2011 surfaced, including one in which he mentioned “Jewish pigs” killed in a terror attack in Jerusalem, according to reports.
Mohammed Elshamy, 25, a former photojournalist with the Turkish Anadolu news agency, quit late Thursday after an employee of Israel’s Government Press Office flagged some of his offensive tweets, the Times of Israel reported.
“More than 4 jewish pigs killed in #Jerusalem today by the Palestinian bomb explode. #Israel #Gaza,” read one of his tweets after a terrorist attack.
The March 2011 bombing killed a 59-year-old Scottish Christian Bible translator who was studying in Israel and severely injured a 14-year-old Israeli girl, Hodaya Asulin, who succumbed to her injuries six years later.
The attack left about 50 other people injured.
“Despite everything happening now in Egypt, I’m proud of the army generation that liberated us from the zionist pigs @ 6 october 1973 #israel,” Elshamy, who joined CNN’s Atlanta headquarters in January, wrote in another tweet from 2011, referencing the Yom Kippur War.
“Israel is the main enemy for the people of Egypt and shall always remain despite rulers who lick Jewish legs,” Elshamy, who recently graduated from Cairo University, wrote in yet another tweet, according to The Hill.
GOP operative Arthur Schwartz unearthed the vile tweets.
“Hey @CNNPR. You should have @KFILE look into the social media activities of your employees. He might find things like this gem from CNN’s @elshamyme talking about ‘Jewish pigs’ killed by Palestinian terrorists,” he tweeted Thursday.
Elshamy apologized on Twitter for this tweets, saying he was only 16 when he wrote them and doesn’t hold those views anymore:

Maybe Elshamy should go work for the NY Times. They don’t have a problem with anti-Semitic and otherwise offensive tweets.
