Chris Cuomo appears to be defending the rioters tonight on his show, suggesting that protesters aren’t supposed to be polite and peaceful:
CNN's Chris Cuomo: "Please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful."
As riots and looting have broken out in cities across the country, this is the message the brother of New York governor Andrew Cuomo shares at the top of his show. pic.twitter.com/ZZ47zpyVlx

Here’s what Cuomo says in the short clip:
Now too many see the protest as the problem. No, the problem is what forced your fellow citizens to take to the streets: persistent and poisonous inequities and injustice. And please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful.
I’m sure Cuomo would say he’s not defending the rioters. But what exactly do you call a protester who isn’t peaceful?
Also, as Steve Guest was quick to point out, the first amendment is what says protesters are supposed to be peaceful:
1 Amd: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble, & to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Maybe Cuomo’s never read the Constitution?
In unrelated news, this is funny:
