Last night CNN’s Chris Cuomo had on Mark McCloskey, the St. Louis man who defended his home alongside his wife against a Black Lives Matter mob.
Watch this clip from the end of the interview:
CUOMO: Trump retweeted the video of Mark McCloskey because "he liked the image of white resistance to this [black lives matter] movement."
MCCLOSKEY: "I'm glad you're a mind reader because no one else thinks you are." pic.twitter.com/EOkdivasJ5

I watched the fuller video of the interview that CNN posted on Youtube, which didn’t include the above portion, and Chris Cuomo spent the entire time trying to make what McCloskey and his wife did to protect their home seem inappropriate.
McCloskey said he feared for his life and his home after watching what unfolded in St. Louis during the recent riots. He said this mob broke down a gate into their private property and tried to intimidate him and his wife, yelling threats and insults at him. He said he knew, because of the recent riots and looting, that he and his wife were on their own to protect their property. He even mentioned the murder of David Dorn.
Cuomo then brought up Trump retweeting the video of McCloskey and his wife before the interview clip posted above, but McCloskey refused to answer for Trump and suggest any motive for why he retweeted it. That’s where CNN cut off the interview in their clip.
But as we can see from the portion above, Cuomo went on to suggest that Trump retweeted the video because “he liked the image of white resistance to this movement”.
But McCloskey fired back, saying “I’m glad you’re a mind reader because no one else thinks you are!” BOOM!
Cuomo ended the interview after that, suggesting that he’s not a mind reader but sees a ‘pattern’ in the president’s behavior or something. I think at one point you can see McCloskey roll his eyes.
Below is the clip that CNN posted on Youtube of the interview if you want to watch it:
