CNN has been in the gutter a lot lately in the last couple weeks. But every time you think they’ve gone as low as they possibly can, they try to go lower.
As with the case last night where Don Lemon actually said that “white men on the right” are the biggest terror threat in the US and the country needs to so something about them.
Watch:
CNN's Don Lemon: "We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them." pic.twitter.com/OFu9fL3eHn

He had just said that we have to stop demonizing groups of people, and then he does just that with “white men on the right”.
If a white commentator said the same thing about “black men on the left” or “Jews on the left” or whatever, he’d be accused of racism and fired from whatever network he works on. But apparently Don Lemon can spout any racist garbage he wants and CNN doesn’t care.
This is CNN.
Here’s a few responses from Twitter:
Don Lemon is a racist. https://t.co/6Z2YJiYLF1

Insane. He literally lectures about not demonizing any one group or any one ethnicity, then does exactly that. This is becoming a daily thing for Lemon with no consequences.

Honestly, MSNBC's anchors have been far more responsible than CNN's this week. https://t.co/S4wQ1hxYQQ
every time don lemon says something dumb on his show, i think to myself: if somebody on a right-wing network said his exact words there'd be an actual war right now. this double standard pisses me off and frankly u don't even know how much https://t.co/niR9879kQt

"We have to stop demonizing people," says CNN's @donlemon, right before he demonizes people. https://t.co/nawNKwsj4L

So @megynkelly was fired for asking an honest question about Halloween costumes and race, I’m guessing Don Lemon will get a raise. How is this OK? How is it even correct? This is disgusting racism. https://t.co/wEK92Ejk84
