Around the time of the inauguration CNN was killing everyone in cable news in the ratings. But now that Trump is gone and we’re several months into the year, their primetime ratings have plummeted and MSNBC is barely doing much better:

In the 8PM hour, Tucker Carlson is killing his rivals in both the coveted demo and overall, with well over double the ratings of CNN in the demo and over three times the ratings of MSNBC in the demo.
With Hannity controlling the 9PM hour, MSNBC bounces back to second place with Maddow, but showing that there’s clearly a problem with their other hosts who could be doing far better. As for CNN’s Cuomo, his ratings in the demo are the worst of all the primetime hosts and he should be wearing the cone of shame.
In the 10PM hour Laura Ingraham is killing both of her rivals, with CNN’s Don Lemon eeking out a ratings lead in the demo over MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell, but with both being way behind Ingraham.
And what’s hilarious is CNN’s ratings are so bad, that Gutfeld’s show at 11PM beats all of their primetime shows in both the demo and overall. Actually, he beats all of their shows from 4PM to 11PM in both ratings categories.
If it weren’t for Maddow, MSNBC might be doing even worse than CNN, so I guess Zucker can take some solace in that. But the averages show the truth, that CNN and MSNBC are about at the same level while Fox News is dominating.
