College students melt all the way down into raving loons over Vice President of the United States honoring their commencement

“The state of college education today is completely ridiculous. Kids are taking out a quarter million in loans to attend woke warzones where roaming mobs will put them in a hospital if they don’t parrot talking points from the communist manifesto.” – @ComfortablySmug

Whether satirical or overblown, the tweet quoted above says something true about the state of higher education. Have kids? Yeah you might wanna send them to a trade school. Or the army. Because what they get from the enormous sums you’ll shell out and go in debt for mostly amounts to brain damage.

You already know about the crazed lunatics who attack conservative speakers (and fellow students) on campuses across the country. Liberals like to sneer at the suggestion these things happen, while simultaneously going on TV and social media every single day to condone and encourage it. CNN anchors and pundits were all over the place explaining that wearing a MAGA hat is asking for it. You heard the same thing after the Jussie Smollett hoax. They pen appeals in a major newspapers encouraging tampering with the food of conservative figures, and they stand up as duly elected representatives of our government and demand abuse follow Trump officials at every turn for the remainder of their lives. It’s just barely shy of demanding that those lives be cut short, and yet they have the audacity to turn around and claim that Dan Crenshaw is the one encouraging violence.

So is it even remotely a wonder that college students are, and this is a quote now, “physically shaking” from the horrific news that Vice President Mike Pence will be speaking at commencement? It shouldn’t be remotely a surprise, and it’s as bad as it sounds.

Worse, even.

“I have never been made to feel so physically ill by an email before. Taylor University, you should be ashamed of yourselves,” Claire Hadley, who graduated from Taylor in 2015, began in a long Facebook post. “I am physically shaking. The fact that the school who claims to love and support me, and each of it’s [sic] students and alum, would invite such a vile individual to speak on the most important day of the year??”

“VP Pence is no friend of mine. He does not support me. He does not support equality,” Hadley declared. “He does not uphold the values that are at the very core of the church, my own faith, and I would hope, of this University. He is rooted in hate. To stand beside President Trump would have been enough to put him on my watch list.” She argued that Mike Pence “only values you if you fit in his very narrow, white, straight, box.”

“Taylor University, I feel personally attacked,” she concluded. “Please, I’m begging you. Don’t do this.”

Imagine that this preposterous shell of a person is part of America’s future. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, they used to say. Not anymore. Nowadays a mind is just a terrible thing. And they intend to waste it, in the most B-movie sense of the word. Obliterate. Destroy. Utterly murder. That’s what they’re doing to young minds in pursuit of an idea that even they can’t sort out.

The absurd hodgepodge of ideas that generally fall under wokeness – that is, intersectionality, democratic socialism, the green movement — these things are self-contradictory, often mutually exclusive, but have one major feature in common. They don’t have a goal. They are the endless struggle on purpose. Not because there is an endless thing to struggle against, but just because they are huddling, gelatinous masses of quivering nonsense wrapped up in scotch tape and presented to the world as if it is dogmatic and principled intellectual fare.

What you think your kid is safe? You know where this happened? At the evangelical Christian school Taylor University. That’s right. That’s the school where a student said this about the VP speaking.

“Many current and former Taylor students are adamantly against some of Pence’s stances and will no doubt feel unsafe at their own graduation.”

UNSAFE. You see how far these liberal tropes travel?

That madness is what they’re dumping down kid’s throats everywhere. That’s America’s higher education. If that doesn’t make you fear for the future then nothing ever will.

Read this whole story from Tylor O’Neil at PJM. I guarantee you’ll be chilled to the bone.

Uhm, if you are sending your kids to public school K-12, they are being exposed to exactly what is transpiring at the post-secondary level. It is just there that the student is fully unrestrained by any parental oversight.

Yup, Republicans never had any intention of getting rid of it. It was all for show. Much the same as the wall, deporting, defunding planned murderhood, Sanctuary Cities, etc, etc.

Never did a damn thing in 2 years, so out come the promises AGAIN.

Used to be able to post opinions without getting attacked… back & forth arguing, but nothing major. Now, if anyone dares to not toe the line of group think, it’s the normal “group think” insults…..
You just can’t get over Hillary losing, you’re a Trump hater, you’re full blown TDS, etc, etc. All lines I’d expect from the left.

Was even attacked by a moderator who said I was trolling & posting garbage. The garbage was an official Border Patrol Document from their website.

And to boot, not many have a clue how to look up facts, they just spout what everyone else does, regardless if it’s BS, exaggerated BS or a flat out lie.

It’s a sad state of affairs.

As the mother of two employee’s of Taylor U. I have to say that they are appalled and ashamed that people that call themselves Christians would act in such an unchristian manor. Both my kids are highly respected at the school and feel that this sort of thinking has no place in a University that calls itself a Christian University. They are looking forward to the VP’s speech.

College is a huge waste of time for a lot of people anyway. If I had just skipped college, gone straight to work, and invested every spare dollar I made, I would be a wealthy man right now. Kids are wasting their youth on this garbage when they could be earning good money.

It may just be my imagination, but there seems to be a bit of a backlash building in favor of free speech. Recent article at Reason:

What faith is that, the Gospel of Marx? Who is this lady, and why do we care about her opinion?

I think it’s safe to say that Claire is going to the wrong school for her. Maybe someplace liberal and poisonous would be more her style… someplace “safer” (Berkley?). facepalmd

This is where it gets personal!! My family is from Upland, many of them are alumni of Taylor U. My daughter is considering Taylor to further her education and I’m hoping she ends up there. To say “Pence does not support equality” tells you everything you need to know about this person. I’m would guess this person does not support the values of Taylor University as a Christian School! DON’T budge on this Taylor. Don’t even bend a little.

Remember when obama spoke at Notre Dame? I felt the same way (to an extent) and was dumbfounded that that college allowed him to speak there. But of course, he was the POTUS… so it wasn’t so out of place. Still…

Even though the topic and conclusion is macabre, this is a brilliant post! VERY well written imo. I am sufficiently worried and fear for our children more now, than ever before.

The fact that this goes on unchallenged and unabated, infuriates me.

I doubt that “Clair Hadley” actually attended or graduated Taylor University or that “Clair Hadley” even knows Pence was governor of Indiana. I think, like all AntiFU anarchists, Clair Hadley is a fake.

If VP Pence is at the graduation… then so will the Secret Service… who will be tasked with keeping the event safe… no matter how the students “feel” about it.

I suspect she didn’t get these ideas from a college that would invite the VP, though at many places she would.

This is how I felt about Liawatha speaking at the cheapo community college graduation my daughter attended. Liawatha turned it into a Demmunist rally. I did a little heckling to the surprise of some worshipful parents, but a lot of parents were sitting on their hands. Still, we can do better. Silence is not enough.

AvatarThomas-Aquinas This is really nothing new. My school brought in a Reagan hater for my graduation. I didn’t listen to a word the guy said, I was just jazzed about finally being done with college, a drudgery which I didn’t really enjoy, but necessary to meet my life goals. I wouldn’t have even known if my father hadn’t expressed his disappointment about how a commencement speech was turned into a speech against the President.
Good on you for voicing your disappointment.

How are they going to function in society? My gosh, they are stupid little snowflakes. I have a 21 yr old daughter working on acceptance into the AF. I have a (almost) 13 year old that I’m pretty sure is moving toward technical school, and I have an 11 yr old that is most likely to be in technical school or go for one of the trades. I don’t promote a university education, but if one of them wants to do something that requires it, it better be marketable, and I will support them in what they want to do. Society has been so brainwashed that you HAVE to go to a traditional college or university. Most people don’t get it when I say I’m not pushing my kids toward that type of education. My nephew, 26, went to a community college for 2 years. I don’t recall what his… Read more »
