James Comey was asked today in his anti-Trump briefing if he had leaked classified information to his professor buddy when he released his memos last year.
The reporter’s voice sounded like that of Catherine Herridge with Fox News. She asked specifically about a classified containment operation by the FBI after Comey leaked his memo. In an ever so diplomatic way, she asked Comey if there was any ‘spill’ of classified info from the leaking of that memo.
But Comey refused to deny that he had leaked any information, telling Herridge that he wasn’t going to discuss it.
To the unsophisticated onlooker, it would seem as though Comey would deny leaking classified information if indeed it never happened. The fact that he didn’t deny it sure makes him sound guilty, as the reporting suggests.
