The IDF tweeted a few minutes ago that they have both air and ground troops attacking in the Gaza Strip now:
IDF air and ground troops are currently attacking in the Gaza Strip.

Even though it’s being reported that Israel has launched troops inside Gaza, they have since clarified they are not in Gaza strip yet:
The Israel Defense Forces clarifies that there are currently no IDF ground troops inside the Gaza Strip.
An English-language statement and comments from a spokesperson, saying that there were ground forces in Gaza, led to multiple foreign news organizations reporting that Israel had launched a ground offensive.
“Clarification: There are currently no IDF ground troops inside the Gaza Strip. IDF air and ground forces are carrying out strikes on targets in the Gaza Strip,” the army now says.
This would seem to jive with what one reporter said over an hour ago:
Not getting any confirmation at the moment from @idf @LTCJonathan of an actual ground invasion as is being reported by some.
But I’ve spent the last 5 hours down near the fence separating Israel from Gaza and watched ground artillery troops firing scores of rounds every hour. pic.twitter.com/DlTK5VL5GK— Mark Stone (@Stone_SkyNews) May 13, 2021
It sounds like they are simply amassing on the border now and attacking positions from there. But I expect they will be in Gaza before too long.
Meanwhile, Hamas is continuing to try and overwhelm the Iron Dome:

Also, when it comes to casualties, this is important to know:
WATCH as a Hamas rocket aimed at Israel misfires and falls back into Gaza.
But this isn't the 1st time—Hamas misfired 350 rockets in the last 3 days.
These rockets result in the deaths of innocent Gazan civilians.
It's time for the world to hold Hamas accountable. pic.twitter.com/vmhmXTZrl6

350 misfires is a lot of misfires. You can believe they’ve likely killed a few people with that many.
