Well, six years in, it’s confirmed – Obama really does believe that “hope” is the best foreign policy. VOX’s Matt Yglesias interviewed President Buzzfeed on what the great big grand theory is, and as he explains it, it’s just a cheery optimism that everything will work out as long as we stay the hell out of the way.

Well damn, that explains a lot. We didn’t actually think he literally thought “hope” was a great foreign policy! No wonder Putin is grabbing up Ukraine while radical Islam swallows up the rest of the world in an orgy of rape, murder and violence.
