It’s just the tip of the Oscars iceberg. I’ll spare you the details on almost of all of it, but imagine the wokest Oscars you can think of. Then multiply that by a trillion.
Yup.
Anyhow this weirdo nobody who make a short film that nobody saw got prime time air because his little project is anti-cop. So at their glamorous Hollywood party they did some more cop bashing. You know, they danced for their Hollywood audience.
“Today, the police will kill 3 people. And tomorrow, the police will kill 3 people. And the day after that, the police will kill 3 people. Because, on average, the police in America, every day kill 3 people which amounts to about 1000 people a year,” he said stupidly. “And those people happen to be disproportionately Black people. You know, James Baldwin once said, ‘the most despicable thing a person can be is indifferent to other people’s pain. So I just ask that you please not be indifferent. Please don’t be indifferent to our pain.”
I included the whole clip because not only are they profiting from that pain he’s so passionate about, but after some rote bashing of cops as murders they go on to list all their Hollywood pals and crow about their big shiny prize before going off to rub shoulders with the glitterati.
But don’t worry gang, he’s got the names of dead people on his jacket so he’s totally regular people.
