Senator Corker said that he had never used the term “fake news” in the media but that he had newfound empathy for Trump after he was smeared over the supposed “Corker kickback” in the new tax bill.

Corker claims that he didn’t know at all about the provision that would benefit him, and didn’t have a hand in inserting it into the bill. He also claims that media figures he used to trust turned on him and unfairly accused him of corruption.
Corker also talks about Trump dropping the ban on lethal weapons sales to the Ukraine, which would ostensibly be used against “Russian-backed” separatists (or actual Russians) warring against the government.
