DC council member makes RIDICULOUS claim about Texas, Arizona Governors over bussing of illegals

Washington DC’s mayor has declared a public emergency over the bussing of illegals from Texas and Arizona to their city.

According to the declaration, the city will create a new ‘Migrant Services Office’ to deal with the illegals getting bussed there:

One thing to note is that the federal government has once again denied any help to DC over their ‘illegal crisis’.

That’s according to this DC council member, who absurdly claims that the governors of Texas and Arizona have turned Washington DC into a ‘border town’. Seriously.

If they think getting thousands of illegals bussed over several months makes them a border town, then they clearly don’t know anything about what these border towns actually have to deal with.

Bill Melugin responded on Twitter to this absurdity, saying…

“A ridiculous statement.

Washington D.C., a metro of 700,000 people, has had about 8,000 migrants dropped off by the state of Texas over a span of 4-5 MONTHS.

Eagle Pass, TX, a population of 30,000, gets 10,000 migrants in a single WEEK.

D.C. is no border town @BrianneKNadeau”

10,000 illegals in a single week is about 160,000 – 200,000 illegals over the course of about 4-5 months, which just shows that these socialist city politicians have NO CLUE what really goes on at the border. They want open borders in Texas and Arizona but now that their border is ‘open’ they scream for help and declare public emergencies.

As I’ve said before these illegals being bussed to DC are only a tiny fraction of what border cities have to deal with and they still don’t get it.
