The other day we told you about an article in Deadspin shaming a young Kansas City Chiefs fan who wore a headdress and traditional face paint. The young fan was accused of wearing blackface, which was not at all accurate and that lie created outrage on social media.
Pretty soon the father of the young fan was threatening a lawsuit and now Deadspin has done a complete reversal, removing all photos and text referring to the child from the article.
Here’s what they wrote:

They clearly stand by their writer, which is a huge mistake in my opinion. He was the one who wrote the article smearing the child and he gets off scot free? If Deadspin was a respectable company they’d demote him or fire him outright.
