Dear MSNBC: “I am not to be dehumanized. That’s what they did to slaves.”

At IJReview, contributor Kira Davis has posted her video response to this week’s bad behavior on the part of MSNBC. Davis is tired of the “racism” and “token” accusations that the network and their viewership hurl by rote at conservatives.

“All my liberal friends, every single person, has said to me ‘well you’re the one good one, you’re the one good republican.’ But you know what? Every conservative I know, has a friend who says that to him or her.” That is a very astute observation. Every conservative that has a liberal friend has been told that they are the exception. Republicans are racist, dear. Present company excluded.

Davis says the problem at MSNBC is not a single intern with Twitter access, or a single host with a lapse in judgement. The problem is a culture at the network, one that is reflective of and designed to cater to the audience they court. And that culture is one in which it is impossible to conceive of Mitt Romney’s son adopting a black child without there being some ulterior motive. I’m reminded of a post at Ace of Spades this week, which includes this snarkastic observation about Tom Huelskamp and his mixed race family:

Most of us are just normal Racists, but this guy is an Eternal Jade Ninja of Racism. He’s so racist, he adopted a bunch of black kids just so he could keep being racist and then when people called him a racist he could show this picture of his family and thereby advance the cause of his racism under the guise of not being racist.

Here at The Right Scoop we’ve posted numerous example of exactly this kind of thinking from the MSNBC left. So forgive us if this week’s Twitter slander from MSNBC is of no surprise whatsoever. Davis nails it when she calls it a culture. Demonizing and dehumanization of conservatives, especially black conservatives, and especially especially conservatives with mixed-race families, is more than just a single host or an intern. It’s practically a mandatory policy.

Exit question: When are condescending lily-white liberal mouthpieces going to stop presuming to tell black people how they are supposed to, or are permitted to, feel? Think about it.
