In a state dinner address in Ohio today, President Trump really nailed the Democrats for supporting sanctuary cities and other pro-illegal alien policies.
It was pretty effective:
Some argue that studies show illegal aliens commit fewer violent crimes than American citizens. Even Dan Bongino admitted that was likely true on “The Five,” but it doesn’t matter either way. Those crimes committed by illegal aliens, violent or not, would simply not be committed if we imposed the law completely. That’s it. And that is a very effective campaign for Trump.
He’s on a little less secure footing when he tells his narrative about what happened in the 2016 election – he still seems to believe he won by a landslide instead of lucking out in three states by less than 150,000 votes. But it’s clear that he understands the urgency in winning the midterm elections.
