The Democrat Party is having a tough time with Joe Biden’s comments, because some defend him and others call him out.
Earlier today, Biden hit back at Cory Booker for calling him to apologize:

Booker for his part is not backing down, saying Biden shouldn’t need to be taught these lessons now:

Bernie Sanders is siding with Booker, more likely in hopes of knocking Biden off the top of the heap:
Nancy Pelosi was asked about Biden and said he’s ‘authentic’, which is what she says the American people want:
NEW: On Biden comments, Speaker Pelosi says, “That’s not what this election is about. This election is about how we connect with the American people, addressing their kitchen-table needs. Lastly Ocasio-Cortez suggests it’s inappropriate for Biden to be “waxing nostalgic” about segregationists and says Booker does not owe Biden any apology:
For the record, Cory Booker does *not* owe Joe Biden an apology for pointing out that waxing nostalgic about working with segregationists is insensitive.
“He knows better?” Really? What is “better?” To stay quiet about it? https://t.co/RvFzqAXPI5

For folks saying we should gloss over this, I think it’s important to realize that we can’t risk depressed turnout in 2020.
The original remark is valid to ask about & have a discussion on or clarify – not dismiss.
We should be compassionate toward each other, but not silent.

So there you have it. The Democrat primary fighting has officially begun and I love it.
